Should I consider allowing pets?
We understand that this decision can be challenging for homeowners. Our recommendation is to consider allowing some type of pet to help minimize your market time. For instance, you can specify that you'll accept pets of a certain size, such as 35 lbs or less. Alternatively, you may choose to allow dogs but not cats, or vice versa, based on your preferences.
We suggest that owners state they do allow pets with restrictions if necessary. This is because approximately 80% of the market comprises pet owners, and excluding this group may extend your time on the market.
It's important to note that we thoroughly screen all pets that applicants have to ensure they are a good match for your home. We check their Vet and Vaccination records, believing responsible pet owners make responsible tenants. If a tenant claims to have a service animal, we verify that information for you as well.
